Change of Tour Pricing

Dear Valued Partner,

We hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to express our gratitude for your continued partnership with Kyoto Cycling Tour Project (KCTP) and to inform you of important updates regarding our tour pricing structure.

Since our founding in 2001, we have continued to work diligently as Japan’s first and only company specializing in cycle tourism. While “Cycle Tourism” had been a relatively unfamiliar concept in Japan at the time, your support has enabled us to significantly expand the recognition and value of the cycling experience in Kyoto.

Although we have been reluctant to raise our prices and have strived to limit any changes despite rising cost, it has become necessary to adjust our pricing structure. The primary reason for this increase is the need to raise our tour guide contract fees due to heightened competition from other travel companies. Additionally, recent upward trends in the cost of bicycle parts and maintenance have also contributed to this decision.

The revised prices will take effect from the 1^st October 2024.

Please rest assured that at KCTP, we will continue to strive to improve the quality and consistency of our services, ensuring our customers have the best possible experience on our tours. We kindly ask for your continued support and understanding.
