By making a reservation, it is understood that customers have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions of service. Please ensure you have read each item carefully before making a reservation.

Changes and cancellations

If you wish to cancel or change your reservation, please contact us by email or phone 10 days before the date of service. A cancellation fee will be charged for any cancellations or changes that are made later than this (see the cancellation policy below). Please note that cancellations during the tour will not be refunded.

Weather conditions

Cycling tours will operate in rain. Raincoats will be provided in case of cycling, or the tour can be conducted on foot at the customer’s request. Please note that the tour fee will not be refunded if it is cancelled due to rain on the day of the tour at the customer’s request. In case of severe weather, including but not limited to typhoons or natural disasters, if the customer cancels the tour by 6pm the day before the tour, a full refund will be given. KCTP reserves the right to cancel a tour in advance due to severe adverse weather and will notify customers prior to the tour and offer a full refund.

Children and cycling skills

For safety reasons, children participating in the tour must meet the following conditions.

Aged 10 years or older
Minimum height of 120cm (or 4ft)
Able to ride a bicycle without assistance (including mounting and dismounting)

If a child does not meet the above safety requirements, KCTP reserves the right to change to a walking tour at the discretion of the tour guide. Please note that if a walking tour is rejected the tour will be cancelled and the cancellation fee will apply according to the cancellation policy. In addition, all adults participating in the tour must also be of adequate cycling ability and be comfortable cycling on public roads.

Payment and cancellation policy

A tour reservation will only be finalised after the full amount of the tour fee has been received by KCTP. Cancellation charges will apply as a percentage of the total cost of the tour, as follows (please note that for the purposes of the cancellation policy, the end of a day is considered to be 18:00 Japan Standard Time):

Cancellations on the day or no-show: 100%

Cancellations less than a day before the date of service: 50%

Cancellations less than 2 days before the date of service: 40%

Cancellations less than 10 days before the date of service: 30%

Cancellations made 11 days or more before the date of service: 0%
